My goal as a therapist is to help clients build lives that are meaningful to them and aligned with their values. I strive to create a collaborative therapeutic environment that supports each client’s individual goals. My approach is strongly influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while also emphasizing personalization, meeting clients where they are and identifying the skills and tools that will best support their growth.
I am a trauma-trained and informed clinician, certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescents and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for adolescents and adults. I have extensive experience helping individuals process traumatic experiences across the lifespan beginning at age 6.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota and completed my internship at the trauma recovery center at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. I was born and raised in Huntington, Indiana, and in my free time I enjoy hiking, spending time with my family, and traveling.
