I view therapy as a collaborative process. One in which I strive to form a strong relationship by deeply understanding and knowing my clients. For me, this starts by creating a welcoming, supportive, and affirming environment in the therapy room. I work with people ranging from young adulthood to those in later life.
As a generalist I am trained to work with a variety of concerns, but my focus is on treating depression, family of origin concerns, relationship difficulties, trauma, anxiety, meaning/purpose/existential concerns. My approach is personalized to each client and culturally informed. As an LGBTQ+ ally it is important to me to not only affirm but also empower my clients.
I received my PhD from Ball State University, and completed my internship with Butler University’s Counseling and Consultation Services. I was born and raised in Muncie. For fun I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and playing music. I also thoroughly enjoy the great outdoors.
